Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at (810) 373-9758 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Those with Pacemakers, very low blood pressure, a DVT or a bleeding disorder, a recent surgery (unless medically approved) and those who have experienced a recent psychotic episode (unless medically approved) should not receive VAT.

The session begins with clients having the option to dress down to their comfort level (clothing must remain on) or simply removing their shoes. Once comfortable, clients can choose to either lie down on a memory foam, ergonomic-shaped table with a weighted or regular blanket, or sit on a meditation cushion. The therapist will then select specific frequencies and music tailored to address the individual's specific issues and activate the equipment.

During the session, clients will start to feel gentle vibrational frequencies through the table or cushion, and they will hear soothing music, either with or without a headset. The therapist will leave the client in the room to enjoy the session, which typically lasts between 10 to 65 minutes. It generally takes about 20 minutes for the body's relaxation response to initiate.

Clients may have various experiences during the session, including falling asleep, perceiving colors, gaining clarity, or having new insights. Many clients also report relief from pain or other symptoms they may have been experiencing.

Once the session is completed, the therapist will return to the room, gently turn the lights back on, and assist the client as they prepare to leave.

The BrainTap headset is typically recommended for individuals with a healthy brain. However, there are important considerations and precautions to keep in mind:

  1. Not Suitable for Severe Mental Disorders: People with severe mental disorders, especially those who are prone to seizures, should avoid using the BrainTap headset. The flashing lights and audio stimulation used in BrainTap sessions may potentially trigger seizures in individuals with certain conditions.
  2. Light Sensitivity: It's crucial to assess your sensitivity to light. If you are extremely sensitive to light and have a history of seizures related to light sensitivity, it's advisable not to use the lights in the BrainTap visor. This precaution is taken to prevent any adverse reactions.

As with any wellness or therapeutic technology, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional if you have any underlying medical conditions or concerns about using devices like the BrainTap headset. Safety should always be a top priority when considering such interventions, especially if you have a history of medical issues.

A typical BrainTap session usually lasts for approximately 22 minutes. To begin, all you need is the BrainTap headset, a visor, and an audio session.

Once you've put on the headset, close your eyes and place the visor over them. The experience that follows is a combination of rich light and sound designed to immerse you.

BrainTap technology employs a process that treats you to a captivating light display accompanied by an immersive audio track, inducing the theta/alpha brainwave frequencies.

This transition takes you from an active beta state to a more drowsy and dreamy state.

While advanced meditation practitioners can naturally enter this state, BrainTap helps guide you there. During the session, you might experience colorful geometric patterns, and as it progresses, you may lose track of the flashing lights altogether.

The science behind BrainTap is rooted in the concept of frequency following response, where your brainwave activity syncs with the pulse rate of the neuro-sensory algorithms used in the technology. As this happens, your mind begins to visualize the changes you want to bring into your life, fostering a unique mental and emotional experience.

I recommend you start your Vibroacoustic journey with an 11min-22min session, which is considered Level 1 and work your way up through the different levels.

Vibroacoustic therapy is generally considered safe and well-tolerated, but like any therapeutic modality, it may have some potential negative effects or contraindications in certain individuals. Here are some possible negative effects and considerations associated with vibroacoustic therapy:

  1. Discomfort: Some individuals may find the sensation of vibration or the sound frequencies used in vibroacoustic therapy uncomfortable or unsettling. This discomfort can vary from person to person.
  2. Overstimulation: In rare cases, vibroacoustic therapy may lead to overstimulation, particularly in individuals who are highly sensitive to sensory input. This can potentially result in increased anxiety or stress during or after a session.
  3. Aggravation of Certain Conditions: Vibroacoustic therapy may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, such as epilepsy or seizure disorders, as the vibrations and sound frequencies could potentially trigger seizures in susceptible individuals.
  4. Nausea or Dizziness: Some people may experience sensations of nausea or dizziness during or after a session, particularly if they have a low tolerance for sensory input or motion.
  5. Pain or Discomfort for Certain Conditions: Individuals with specific medical conditions, such as musculoskeletal injuries or acute pain, may find that the vibrations exacerbate their discomfort rather than provide relief.
  6. Contraindications: There are specific contraindications for vibroacoustic therapy, and it's essential for individuals with certain medical conditions to avoid this therapy. These contraindications may include recent surgeries, fractures, or the presence of medical devices like pacemakers.
  7. Psychological Effects: In some cases, vibroacoustic therapy may bring up suppressed emotions or traumatic memories, potentially leading to emotional distress.

It's crucial for anyone considering vibroacoustic therapy to consult with a qualified healthcare provider or therapist, especially if they have underlying medical conditions or concerns. A thorough evaluation of individual health and well-being can help determine whether vibroacoustic therapy is a suitable and safe option, and if so, the therapy can be tailored to meet specific needs and preferences.
